TimeSight Systems™ Announces Addition of Industry Development Start-Up Veteran to Position of Vice President of Engineering

Tom Ertel to leverage 25 years of experience leading engineering organizations to accelerate development of advanced Video Lifecycle Management recorder and storage solutions for the security industry

Mt. Laurel NJ, April 7, 2009 - TimeSight Systems™, the industry leader in Video Lifecycle Management (VLM), today announced that Tom Ertel has joined the company as vice president, Engineering.  Tom joins TimeSight’s management team of proven systems, storage network and security professionals committed to making high resolution and retention an affordable security asset.

Ertel has over 25 years experience in leading engineering organizations ranging in size from 10 to 200 development, quality assurance and support engineers. Prior to joining TimeSight, he served as vice president of Engineering at Nextpoint Networks, a producer of access security solutions which was recently acquired by Genband Inc. Previously, Ertel held the position of vice president of Engineering at Internet Photonics Inc (IPI), a producer of Carrier grade Optical Ethernet solutions which was acquired by Ciena Corp. Prior to IPI, Ertel held senior management positions at Artel Video Systems, 3Com Corp, Chipcom Corp., and Digital Equipment Corp. (DEC). He holds a BSEE from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institutes and an Executive MBA from Stanford University.
